What this estimate assumes

Panel thickness/type and fasteners depend on the assembly. The 32-screws/sheet and 200-sq-ft/bucket allowances are planning assumptions, not specifications. Tape needs a seam layout.

Area estimates and layout quantities

A 4×8 ft sheet has 32 sq ft of face area. The calculator adds your waste allowance and rounds up to whole sheets. This is an area estimate; the actual layout determines cuts, seams, and usable offcuts.

Joint tape stays unquantified until you measure seams and inside corners from that layout. Screws and compound are separate planning allowances, not a fastening specification or a verified product yield. Confirm sheet type and thickness, fastening requirements, finish level, and package coverage for your assembly.

Record the chosen products and open items on your purchase sheet before buying.
