How the calculators work

Every calculator is pure math. Concrete cubic yards = length x width x (depth in inches / 12) / 27. Paint gallons = net wall area / 350 (sq ft per gallon). These are the same formulas your contractor and supplier use. The math is deterministic and verifiable - no AI, no databases, no estimates for the physical calculations.

How we make money

BuildTotals earns revenue from referrals to contractors, home improvement retailers, and tool-rental services. Every referral link is clearly labeled and earns a flat referral fee - it never changes our calculations, results, or the order anything appears on this site.

Until we have approved partner agreements in place, all referral buttons are disabled. You will see informational tips instead of clickable ads.
