The picket count covers the actual 100 ft length: 1,200 inches ÷ 5.5 inches, rounded up. It does not extend the last section to a full 8 ft or add an extra waste allowance.
Confirm post lengths, rail sizes, and hole dimensions from your design. The initial 28 concrete bags are a rough two-bags-per-post allowance, not a hole-volume calculation. Gate widths, extra gate-support posts, corners, and closed loops need separate planning.
